Thursday is the day for Saint-Jean's organic food market. This is a lovely market to visit, not only because of the wide variety of organic produce on sale (fruit, vegetables, bread, meat, fish etc.), but also because of the market's location in the heart of historic Old Lyon. The location creates such a bygone atmosphere, that you could quite easily imagine yourself shopping for your supplies in centuries past. The market is open from 6am until 12:30pm.
