Also referred to as Le Royal Hotel, this award winning 4 star establishment is situated in a prime location on the edge of Place Bellecour and can be viewed from every position within Europe's largest public square. As you enter the hotel, you are immediately embraced by the refined splendour of the interior which was designed by the Pierre-Yves Rochon. Rochon successfully endeavoured to create a space akin to a Lyonnais grand family residence, and indeed, amidst the tasteful antiques and homely royal blue interior, you get a feeling of stately grandeur that doesn't stand on ceremony.Le Royal includes a salon area - Côté Bellecour - where you can enjoy a drink from an extensive selection while admiring the view across Place Bellecour, and, a restaurant - Côté Cuisine - where all dishes are prepared by chefs and students from the acclaimed Paul Bocuse Institute. The hotel's 74 rooms are tastefully decorated in the style of Pierre-Yves Rochon and the furnishings are of a very high quality and comfort, the hotel even adorns each room with fresh bouquets of flowers on a daily basis.
