Louisville is a pizza town. It's not New York City, but Papa John's WAS started here, and you'll find no less than six different pizza places along a two-mile stretch of Bardstown Road. If you're craving pizza late at night, visit or call Spinelli's. They're open seven days a week their two locations (on Baxter Avenue in the Highlands and on Goose Creek Road in the East End) deliver until 4:30 a.m. Their 18-inch pizzas are thin-crust and range from $15 for a cheese pizza to $25 for the supreme. They also have $3 slices (add 50 cents per topping), sandwiches ($6-7.25), and stromboili ($8-15). Appetizers range from $3.25-$7 and include a house salad, chicken fingers, fried ravioli, and mozzarella cheese sticks. Spinelli's also offers a source for fried Oreos outside of state fair season (they're four for $3.25). Finally, to wash it al down, Spinelli's offers soda, bottled and canned beer (Pabst. For a dollar). For fast, late-night delivery, you can't go wrong with Spinelli's.
