If you need to stay by the airport or the Kentucky Exposition Center and Fairgrounds, the Crowne Plaza Hotel is an excellent choice. Freshly renovated, the hotel has 588 rooms which include free internet. Guests have access to a fitness center, indoor/outdoor pool (in the summer, it becomes an outdoor pool by opening the glass doors) and the Blue Horse Café, which serves three meals a day and includes a bar. If you came with your car, parking is free. The hotel also provides a free shuttle to the airport and any sites within three miles of the hotel. Unfortunately, besides the Expo Center and airport, there aren't many sites of interest within three miles of the hotel.
