Long Beach/South Bay

The Port of Loa Angeles combined with the Port of Long Beach is the fifth busiest in the world. In 1967, Long Beach purchased luxury cruise liner, the Queen Mary, as a major tourist attraction and hotel. The South Bay beach communities of Manhattan, Hermosa, and Redondo houses middle-upper class families with inland cities like Torrance and El Segundo boasting great schools and suburban lifestyles.

The South Bay is now home to California's aerospace industry boasting Boeing, Northrop Grumman, Lockheed Martin, and Raytheon facilities. Locals love Manhattan Beach restaurants like Rock 'N Fish and The Kettle. Rent bikes or rollerskates and take your wheels up and down the scenic boardwalk from Manhattan to Redondo. Jay Leno fan? Stop by Hermosa Comedy and Magic Club on Sunday nights to watch Jay Leno perform a set.

Downtown Long Beach offers shopping and dining and is the location of the world famous Aquarium of the Pacific. Traveling with kids? Enjoy great food and phenomenal shopping at Shoreline Village a unique waterfront destination with arcade, carousel and dozens of restaurants.
