Although Los Angeles is not replete with public spaces, the parks here are unique and make great destinations. Outdoor areas here range from large scenic areas like
Griffith Park and
Franklin Park to dedicated botanical gardens like those at the
Huntington Library. The climate and environment in the Southland make a trip to the park or garden a refreshing experience; remember to bring a hat in the summer! If you want something a little more strenuous, there are a number of mountains ranges nearby for
hiking and exploring.
