The history of Hollywood and Los Angeles are inextricably intertwined; top things to do in Hollywood are key Los Angeles experiences. On this list we have collected some essential Hollywood destinations.
Grauman's Chinese Theatre is ground zero of the tourist zone. Here you can find palm and foot imprints of the stars at the
Hollywood Walk of Fame as well a take a snapshot with a celebrity/superhero impersonators. (Those guys live on tips folks so pony up.) The white elephants modeled after D.W. Griffith's Intolerance at the nearby
Hollywood & Highland mall/subway entrance are also grand.
At
Runyon Canyon you can take an intense hilly walk where you will find many body-conscious Hollywood residents out doing their thing. Pieces of the old estate once here are still intact, including the tennis courts and the guest house where Errol Flynn lived.
The
Hollywood Bowl is a great (and historic) place to see open air shows. Yes you can bring food and beverages (as in alcoholic) in with you. During the day when the venue is not in use, the bowl is open to the public.
