Knightsbridge & Belgravia
No trip to London would be complete without the requisite visit to Harrod's department store. Green bag in tow, food hall visited and bucket list checked, don't ever go back. Instead, take a wander through Knightsbridge along Old Brompton Road and pop into the various boutiques, cafes, and galleries for a glimpse into the daily shopping tastes of the rich and famous.
Venture back to explore Belgravia, east of Harrod's, and walk through Eaton Square home to some of London's wealthiest residents - Petra Ecclestone, daughter of F1 mogul Bernie Ecclestone, owns a seven-storey multi-million pound mansion on the square.
Wander slightly north to Apsley House, the Duke of Wellington's former abode on the corner of Hyde Park, for a brief history lesson and dash of culture. If you're feeling flush then pop into Dinner, Michelin-star winning chef Heston Blumenthal's restaurant in the capital, for a literal taste of history - a bite of meat fruit (that would be mandarin and chicken liver parfait on toast) might be just the thing you need to remind you of how far we've come.
