Description:
Located in the province of Cañete, this old and traditional town beach comprises many attractions, from summer activities and water sports to many historic spots; many surfers gather here due to its tubular waves, caused by the forceful sea currents. The view of the sea from the cliffs is simply amazing. Some interesting spots to visit are the Centinela Hill, with some pre-Hispanic buildings; the archaeological complex El Huarco, with evidence of human settlements dating from pre-Incan times; the monument to the Japanese immigration, located on the spot where the first ship Japanese immigrants arrived; and of course the many landscapes, beaches and marinas around in the district, like Mirador Cerro Camacho, the dock, the lighthouse or the glorieta (summer house). There are also many restaurants and hostels here, and in addition many families rent houses, apartments or rooms for days, weeks or months. Remember to enjoy a ceviche and a beer!
