A very traditional restaurant, and definitely a very affordable one, established during the 80s, Anticuchería Pepe's serves not only anticuchos (beef heart brochettes, cooked over hot coals), but also grilled meats, barbecues, Peruvian roasted chicken and Limenian desserts. They focus on the more traditional Peruvian barbecues, that here do have a very strong African legacy. Try also the pancitas and mollejitas, and as side dishes ask for choclos (tender corn on the cob, boiled) or grilled potatoes; remember to order a beer, and for dessert, you may want to try the picarones (a kind of fried doughnuts, served with syrup).
