Lima has two main golf clubs: the oldest and most traditional one is the Lima Golf Club, located in San Isidro, founded in the 1920's. The other one is Los Inkas Golf Club, located almost outside the city, and was established during the late 1940's.
However, these are private clubs, since the reduced demand would not support any public course. If you are interested in visiting these clubs, you must get a member to invite you, which is always possible among the top social circles in Lima. Green fees for guests range between US $60 and US $100 dollars per round, while caddies are tipped some US $12 for their services.
We have here a list of some recommendable hotels located near these two golf clubs in Lima.
In San Isidro you will find more options. Sonesta Posada del Inca is a nice hotel in front of El Olivar Park; Country Club is a traditional, more luxury place; Garden Hotel and Swissotel are more business-oriented, while Basadre Hotel is located in a quiet area, yet close enough to the business district.
There are good hotels near the other golf club, too, like Hotel & Spa Golf Los Incas (the name can tell you a lot!), and La Molina which is a more budget-friendly option appropriate for almost everyone.
