When the sun goes down, the partiers come out. And where do they head to in Lima? There are many night clubs in this city, of course, and you can join in the after-hours fun. Grab some cash, put on the slickest fit in your suitcase, and take to the dance floor.
For many young upperscale Limenians first choices would be Gotika or Aura, both of them conveniently located at Larcomar Shopping Center, close to many hotels, hostels and lodges. Although these places offer membership programs for locals, foreign visitors are allowed without trouble.
Another place like these but mostly intended for a slightly older audience is Spa Lounge, a cozy place with an excellent selection of drinks.
But if you are an 80's baby, you will love Nebula Club, a small spot dedicated to diverse music styles and genres of the 80s, 90s and 2000s.
Other more open spots are La Noche, a very popular show bar, and El Dragón, both located in Barranco with frequent live music, and La Cueva, lively and crowded gay-friendly place in San Borja.
Bierhaus is also a good place for drinking, dancing and meeting locals.
But if you are more in the mood of trying out Peruvian partying, you may want to go to De Rompe y Raja or to Peña Del Carajo, both of them offering good Peruvian music live shows, as well as some Latin dance music.
