With Lausanne being located on the largest lake in Western Europe, there is no shortage of water sports. Besides the lake itself there are indoor water facilities such as the Mon-Repos Swimming Pool in the center of Lausanne. There is also an enormous water park down the lake road past Montreux in Le Bouveret called Aquaparc which has pools and games inside and out. For summer there is a closer water park in nearby Renens called AquaSplash.
For more luxurious experiences with water there is the Beau-Rivage Palace Spa and gorgeous swimming pools. If that is not within your budget and it's the summer swimming season (May to September), there is also the Bellerive Swimming pool near Vidy beaches and Ouchy beaches. My favorite summer swimming pool is in the nearby village of Pully which has many different pools for different ages and activities. There is also the Montchoisi Swimming Pool & Skating Rink which is a pool in summer and a skating rink in winter.
For more active water sports on Lake Geneva, there are all kinds of sports equipment and boats to rent at Guy Delessert's. You can windsurf, row, paddle, water ski, dive, and more.
