If you need a break from the casinos and the more common things to see, you'll find Las Vegas has a good supply of offbeat things to do. For instance, the Gold & Silver Pawn Shop has become a cable TV hit, and a tourist attraction to boot. Offbeat but still right on Las Vegas Boulevard, this is a place to find things you can't find anywhere else. For an even larger selection of unusual items--but perhaps more conventional Las Vegas souvenirs--browse the Bonanza Gift Shop, also known as the World's Largest Gift Shop.
The Arts District represents something new to Las Vegas--and on First Friday, part of downtown turns into a street festival for the evening. It's not what you'd expect to find in Las Vegas, and the art has a distinctly Vegas edge to it. The Neon Museum and Boneyard fits the image of Las Vegas better, but it requires advance planning to see and the restrictions on photography give it an air of mystery.
The Gun Store represents a different side of Las Vegas--the gun-toting side. This offbeat store lets you fire the weapons (under supervision), satisfying anyone's inner need for firepower. And if you feel like combining cardio with pole dancing, Stripper 101 is just what you need.
