Lake Tahoe is the quintessential place to enjoy water sports. The clear, blue water beckons summer and fall visitors to capture all the adventure in this area.
If you don't have a boat or jetski, there is always just plain swimming. Some of the best places to swim at the lake are
Lester Beach,
Sand Harbor and
King's Beach. If you like kayaking, rent a kayak at
Zephyr Cove or
Camp Richardson and do the
Lake Tahoe Water Trail, or bring your own and kayak from Lester Beach in D.L. Bliss to
Emerald Bay.
Tahoe has some excellent salmon and trout fishing.
Tahoe Sport Fishing Co. can charter a boat for you and show you the best places to reel in your line. If you want to stay closer to the area's rivers, try some fly fishing near
Squaw Creek.
For some extreme fun, rent a jetski from
Camp Richardson on the South Shore and enjoy some wave action. For something different, visit King's Beach and
North Shore Parasail and do some parasailing off the back of a boat over the blue water.
