If you are lucky enough to be spending time at Squaw Valley (whether it's winter or summer) you are near some of the best things to do at Lake Tahoe. The
Squaw Valley area itself is full of skiing, riding, hiking,
mountain biking, fishing and shopping and dining at the Village at Squaw.
Head up to
High Camp during both the summer and winter for skiing and riding, access to the pool and spa, the ice rink and miles of hiking trails at the top of the mountain.
If you want to stay at the bottom of the gondola, enjoy some
golfing or
fly fishing at the
Resort at Squaw Creek or head to the
Spa at Squaw Creek for some pampering. The wine bar, Uncorked, is available for wine tastings and special events.
Kids can have fun too at several of the shops in the Village like making candles at
Waxen Moon or bouncing on the Skyjump bungee cord/trampoline in the center of the Village. For something different, pack the family up into a dog sled for a race through the winter wilderness.
