If you are interested in seeing artifacts from a shipwreck, then a visit to Riverside Museum is a must. Artifacts from a steamboat called War Eagle can be seen here. The ship sank on the docks of La Crosse in 1870.Besides shipwreck artifacts, visitors can view exhibits on La Crosse's growth as a result of the many rivers surrounding it.
Admission is $2.00 for adults, $1.00 for children, and $5.00 for a family. Open Memorial Day to Labor Day Monday through Saturday between 10:30AM and 4:30PM and Sundays between 10:30AM and 4:00PM. Open weekends only during the months of September and October.
