To refuel, head a little further down Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman to the Coliseum Cafe for an ice cold beer and some local bites.

Description:

Observe the Sultan Abdul Samad Building - this grand old structure, built at the end of the 19th Century, is the city's major landmark. Constructed entirely of brick, its imposing Moorish arches and colonnades are topped by a gleaming copper dome. Two circular towers, flank its regal 40m high clock tower. This building, which once housed the nation's judiciary, continues to be an important backdrop for historical events. The building, when lit up at night, sparkles majestically. You'll spot glimpses of the British colonial past in most buildings encircling the green patch that's Merdeka Square (right opposite the Sultan Abdul Samad building)through the imposing Moorish minarets and sweeping white arches. There's the Old Post Office, Kuala Lumpur Memorial Library, the Old High Court, National History Museum, Panggung Bandaraya, Textile Museum, Cathedral of St. Mary and the Royal Selangor Club.
