Nothing quite prepares you for the first time you see the 88-storey ribbed spires of the Petronas Twin Towers. Stand beneath the glow of the towers and admire one of the world's great buildings. Islamic elements dictate the way in which glass, steel and concrete envelope these colossal spires. Soaring 452 meters into the sky, the twin towers' exterior is elegantly fitted with horizontal silver ribbons of stainless steel. Fluted and winged, the towers are linked on the 41st floor by a Skybridge. Ride the high-speed lift that zooms up to the Skybridge. Strolling along the glass-encased pathway some 170-metres above the ground feels as if you're floating over the city. Expect fantastic views of KL city from up here. Be sure to queue up early as there is only a limited number of passes allocated per day. There's also an informative exhibition on the construction of the towers at the visitors' center (on the ground level), which is fitted with plenty of interactive displays. The ever-popular Suria Shopping Complex, at the floor of the Petronas Twin Towers, offers a glimpse of the modern Asian shopping experience.
