Look for goats near the ridge.

Description:

Waipo`o Falls is the hidden treasure at the end of the two to three hour hike off the Canyon Trail in Koke`e State Park (but the falls are in Waimea Park). The trail is moderately strenuous, but well worth the effort as you pass through spectacular canyon views and at the end find a cool pool to swim and cool off in.

Park at the Pu`u Hinahina Lookout between the 13 and 14 mile marker. Find the trail at the back of the parking lot and head out into the wild. After passing canyon views and crossing a ridge you'll come to the smaller top falls ont he left, and the bigger one on the right. The smaller falls have a wonderful pool for swimming in, and the bigger falls cascade down a step like cliff about 800-feet down. Don't forget the camera and a swim suit!
