With 20 km of groomed cross-country skiing trails, Mount Shark one of the most well liked facilities in Alberta. This area offers trails appropriate for any level of skier, and it provides some of the finest scenery in the Province. Also, it is off-the-beaten-path and receives a low number of crowds, compared to more popular facilities like the Canmore Nordic Centre. Backcountry trails around the Spray Lakes and into British Columbia's Mt. Assiniboine Provincial Park can be accessed from Mount Shark, but be prepared as there is avalanche potential.Map:
