Located in luxurious Hotel Mulia Jakarta, Table8 is a newly established restaurant that serves home-cooked Cantonese and Szechuan cuisines. A tea counter is on hand to balance the spicy-hot servings on offer, with a variety of Chinese tea for you to try. The decor is contemporary and oriental, combining a modern look and feel with touches of the classical Ming dynasty. A series of 23 miniature pagodas in different heights is on display in the middle of the main dining area, while up above a painting of the famed Marilyn decked out in classic Chinese costume adorn the ceiling. Be sure to try out the succulent Prawn with Wasabi Mayonnaise, as well as the Stir Fried Chicken Wings with Spicy Szechuan Flavor. Look out for regular promotions, which are usually very good value for money especially considering the five-star environment.
