Winter Weddings & Other Banquets
Description:
If you wanted to get married in Istanbul this winter or any other, which venues would be most appropriate?
Or, if your boss asked you to organize a PR event this winter in Istanbul, where should you start looking at?
Hopefully, this guide will answer these questions.

Day 1 - Istanbul
Big events... Hotels... Large Ballrooms...
The list of hotels below are the major five star venues where you may be able to organize a banquet or your wedding. As these are five star hotels, they often have large ballrooms, which can accommodate up to 600 people (although the recommended number would be 500 max).
The costs associated with these large venues are also huge. Generally, price per attendee is around 70 to 100 Euros -depending on the type of gourmet offer you pick. These places do not offer organizational services, but they often work with a team of organizers (companies), which they will recommend to you to work with as well. Be ware that additional organizational costs also boost your finances. Organization companies also charge per person and that is usually around another 30 to 60 euros.
Hotels tend to have special wedding night packages for the newly weds. Therefore, if you were marrying in Conrad let's say, Conrad usually makes you a special offer for their honeymoon suite -where you would be getting ready for the night (dressing up, getting your manicure and pedicure, having your hair done etc.). You would also spend the night there as well.
Each of these hotels have a similar design and a similar range of services when it comes to the winter weddings; but you should still consult them for more information.

Day 2 - Istanbul
Banquets or small scale weddings...
Ulus 29 would be the perfect place for a small scale wedding or a wedding cocktail. They have a nice lounge / restaurant & bar area inside the venue, which you may be able to close down for you party. It would not be any cheaper than a large hotel; since the venue would be doing you a favor by closing down the place for the night. Ulus 29 has three closed areas that are interconnected: a lounge, a restaurant and the club. Therefore if you wanted to close down the place entirely on a Saturday night, be ready to pay for the venue's opportunity costs (the nightclub alone makes a lot of money on a Saturday). You may alternatively do a cocktail wedding on a weekday; then the club would not be so crowded anyway and the small number of people which might be getting a drink there would not even bother you.

Day 3 - Istanbul
Another small scale wedding or banquet venue is Marmara Esma Sultan in Ortaköy. Here, you could stlll get the regular seated, dinner and music type of wedding. It does not have to be a cocktail. The venue is smaller than a hotel. It would accommodate around 200 or 250 people max. Again be ready to pay for organization and dinner per person (still around 100 to 120 Euros -cumulative).

Day 4 - Istanbul
Historic Venue...
Last, but not least is the 1001 Columns Bastille. The venue has a nice historic architecture, but inside there is not much else to see. It is not a museum... In fact, the place markets itself as a wedding venue and can accommodate up to a 1000 people in a cocktail wedding.
