European Bosphorus
European Bosphorus is an extensive length and line of coast. Starting from further down the Galata Bridge, it extends all the way until Sarıyer and beyond. In respective order the districts by the coast are: Karaköy, Kabataş, Beşiktaş, Ortaköy, Kuruçeşme, Arnavutköy, Bebek, Aşiyan, Rumeli Fortress, Balta Limanı, Emirgan, İstinye, Yeniköy, Tarabya, Sarıyer, Rumeli Kavağı and Rumeli Feneri. It would take hours to walk all the way from Karaköy until the end of the coast line. However, between Kuruçeşme and Tarabya is a very nice pavement fit for jogging and biking. In fact, on an early summer morning, one can spot many people doing their morning exercise -walking by the Bosphorus. Each of these regions have unique features, living standards and lifestyles. For instance between the Galata Bridge and Beşiktaş are museums, galleries, offices and ports. Many cruises coming from Europe and beyond reach one of these ports here. Between Ortaköy and Bebek are the more elitist cafes, restaurants and clubs by the coast. In fact the famous Reina, Anjelique, Sortie and the after hour food house Bodrum Mantı are all lined up along these regions. From Bebek until Yeniköy (Rumeli Fortress, Balta Limanı, Emirgan, İstinye) are places for a cup of tea, breakfast or lunch by the Bosphorus.
Sade Kahve is one of the nicest places for traditional Turkish breakfast and Turkish home cooking examples. Yeniköy is a heavenly residential area with few cafes and restaurants. The houses by the coast of Yeniköy and Tarabya are magnificent mansions -all dating back to the historical times of İstanbul.
