Do not mistake the Ottoman Hotels for many of the other 'Ottoman' named hotels in Istanbul... The mistake might be an indubitable one, but does unjust to the genuine Ottoman Brand of the Ottoman Hotel. The Ottoman Brand is indeed a very old brand in Sultanahmet. Back in the era of hippies, who used to arrive on the Orient Express to Istanbul and meet at the
Pudding Shop, the Ottoman Hotel was the only hostel with air-conditioning. Times have naturally changed, and Sultanahmet has outgrown itself from being the start of the hippie-trail and has become the throbbing heart of tourism in Istanbul. The B&B Ottoman Hotel has thus been renovated and reopened in 2008 with an upgrade into the Special Hotels' category. There are two Ottoman branded hotels now and they can be considered as sister hotels -owned and managed by the same team: Ottoman Hotel Park and
Ottoman Hotel Imperial. As in their names, both Hotels have been decorated thematically in an Ottoman style from its interior decoration to architecture and choice of music at the entrance and around the halls. Ottoman Hotel Park has a more modern approach as it emphasizes the more recent periods of the Ottoman regency. The hotel is located only minutes away from the iconic landmarks and monuments of the historic Istanbul, such as
Hagia Sophia and
the Blue Mosque. Recommended for tourists on cultural expeditions, and business travelers with dealings in or near the old city center.
