Description:

This popular park in Boise's North End is named for the hill shaped like a double-humped camel's back. Every kid who goes to the park has to make an attempt to climb the hill. There's the straight up the hill route, or there are less taxing trails that go around the hill. Behind the park's hill you'll find Hull's Gulch, a nature preserve with ponds, hiking/biking trails, and sagebrush as far as the eye can see.

On the front side of the hill, the park is always busy with soccer practices, Frisbee players, beach volleyball pick up games, tennis courts, and of course, the playground. There is plenty of room at the park to spread out for a family reunion, a baseball game, or throwing the football around. Dog owners love the park and can be found at all hours. Mountain bikers meet here to set up for runs up Hulls Gulch.

Every September, Camel's Back Park hosts the Hyde Park Street Fair, a fantastic mix of hippie chic, live bands, kids getting their faces painted, and giant grilled turkey legs.
