If you love real Indian food, this is the place to try. Like many of the best restaurants, its unassuming exterior is misleading. In a strip mall from the 1970s, Madhuban looks like every other ethnic food-in-a-mall place.But once inside, if the many aromas of curry and other spices does not tempt you, then you don't know your Indian food. The lunch buffet is so delicious it ought to be illegal.
The seating area is relatively small, seating only about 50 at a time, if that. And the idea is simple: Put out a buffet that gets you in and out quickly, but deeply satisfied.
You don't go to Madhuban for the fine ambiance, the lush furnishings, or the authentic Indian decor. You go for the food. And it is delightful.
The price is so cheap, even your miserly grandfather can be happy about eating here. Go early, go often.
