Donnie Mac's Trailer Park Cuisine
NileGuide Expert Says:
Sweet potato fries are to die for at Donnie Mac's. The southern fried chicken is so good it was featured on TV's Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives. If pulled pork is your usual sandwich, then you need to upgrade to this one.

NileGuide Expert tip:
You can actually dine inside an old car right in the middle of the restaurant. It's fun once. Get there early to request the car booth. It's a tight fit and not for the long of leg. But the kids think it's awesome.
Description:
Atmosphere: Donnie Mac's Trailer Park Cuisine is like nothing else you've ever experienced, and also like everything you've ever experienced. In the hip area of Boise known as the Linen District, Donnie Mac's is housed in an old auto garage, and it still has the large garage doors that open for alfresco dining in the warmer months. Inside, you will find old couches, old cars, and an atmosphere wants you to conjure up traveling down those lonesome two-lane highways of America's western deserts.
Food: While you can get biscuits and gravy, hamburgers and fries, macaroni and cheese just like you remember from those old diners of yesteryear, Donnie Mac's versions of these classics will knock you over. Their special breading batter has something you've never tasted before. Don't ask me what it is, but it makes the breading crunchy, a little spicy (not a lot, just a smidge), and oh so good. The portions are generous and filling. Count on taking home some of your food. In fact, count on walking home, because you'll need it after consuming all these delightful calories.
