One of the things I value most in traveling is going to places that I absolutely can't go to at home. That means no chain restaurants, places the locals know about but that might not make the magazines, or places that look like dives from the outside, but really have great food.
These restaurants are among the favorites for those of us who live in Idaho. However, many great restaurants are not on this list. That's because we have so many really unique and tasty places to eat here. And no, we don't eat only potatoes. We also eat salmon, trout, elk, beef, bison, greens, carrots, berries, apples, pears, and much, much more. Come and take a taste.

A cozy bistro close to everything downtown, Cafe Paris has created a reputation with locals as a great place for pre-event dining and post-event desserts. They excel in bakery items as well. The wait staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and mostly efficient. With a wide choice of wines to complement the foods, every morsel is a delight. I recommend the cheese tray, and let your waiter choose the cheeses. There is nothing on the menu that is not fantastically made, so order with abandon. Desserts are a must, no matter what diet you're on...
