Highlands Hollow was one of the first brew pubs in the Boise area, and it is still a classic. Located conveniently on Bogus Basin Road in Boise's North End, it is popular with the apres ski crowd, mountain bikers, and neighborhood walkers.The beer is hand crafted, the breadsticks are like mini bread loaves, and the giant fireplace roars in the cold months.
Choose Full Moon Stout, Spoon Tongue, Gingerwheat, or one of the many other creatively named brews. The burgers and sandwiches leave little room for additional food, but they are totally worth it. A recent pulled pork sandwich qualifies as the best I've had. The sauce was spicy without the burn and had a little sweet in there as well.
