Your Hippest 1 day Hong Kong Walking Tour
Description:
With only one day to explore Hong Kong, there is simply too much to do and too little time. Make the most out of your time by sight seeing on your legs.
Walking through the concrete jungle of urban Hong Kong requires a lot of patience and attention to small details. Walking makes sure that you'll be able to catch the smells and sounds of Hong Kong that you might otherwise miss on buses or the MTR.

Day 1 - Hong Kong
Depending whether you want to start off at Kowloon Peninsula or Hong Kong Island, your hippest 1 day Hong Kong walking tour can really be done if you make the most out of the one of the most efficient public transport in Hong Kong - your feet. Early morning Tai Chi watching can be seen at the Yau Ma Tei Tin Hau temple. Since Nathan Road will not be alive and bustling until after breakfast why not stop by the Australia Dairy Company in Jordan for a traditional Hong Kong styled breakfast. Window shop down the Golden lane from Jordan and make your way to Victoria Harbour in Tsim Sha Tsui,
The top deck of the Star Ferry is the only deck that you should consider taking. You want to take the ferry from Tsim Sha tsui to Central and then its a 15 minute walk to the the Legco building right outside Statue Square where the hippest and most iconic landmarks: The HSBC building and the Bank of China Building cannot be missed.
Since you'll be pressed for time to buy souvenirs or what not, the best outlet and street market shopping is on Li Yuen Street East and West. It will then be time to sit down for a lunch at Bistro Bamboo before you ascent to the Peak. Do check visibility, there will be some days with heavy smog so if that happens then go at night where the visibility will be much clearer and you'll be able to see the night lights and million dollar skyline.
Don't forget that the Symphony of Lights shows at 8pm nightly so make sure that you are either on Victoria Peak or Victoria Harbour before 8pm.
The trendiest night districts are Soho and Lan Kwai Fong and you are bound to find a place their fits your mood whether they are happening bars like Insomnia, pubs, wine bars and more.
