A conceptual (in a good way) restaurant in the historic center of Grenoble, Le Mix melanges fresh culinary ideas, a friendly welcome, and a poppy orange-and-old-stone décor to create a subtley hip dining experience. As the restaurant's name suggests, chef Stephanie mixes up cooking from the around the world and then lets clients make their own mix. Think Bombay chicken accompanied by sautéed noodles. Or Basmati rice. Or Pad Thai. It's up to you to create your plate. Monday through Friday, Le Mix offers a 10€ plat du jour plus coffee which always has its terrace full. If ordering à la carte, plan on spending 15 to 18€ per dish. Since the indoor dining room is relatively small, it may be a good idea to reserve ahead of time if the weather doesn't allow for outdoor dining. The homemade desserts, which run around 5€ each, are worth it. Not only are they delicious, but also original. Think lavendar-infused crème brûlée and Nutella panna cotta. The menu changes regularly, which gives you a good excuse to come back often.
