Top hikes in and around the Canyon
Description:
For able-bodied visitors to the Grand Canyon, it would be a crime not to do some kind of hike. It is one thing to drive up to the South Rim and take a picture, and quite different to experience the canyon itself -- looking up at canyon walls and geological wonders rather than gaze at them from a distance. These hikes are arranged in the order in which they may lead into one another. Hualapai Hilltop is the trail to Havasupai Falls, the Bright Angel trail meets up with the South Kaibab, which leads to the North Kaibab. And the strenuous Escalante Route is an extension of the Tonto.
