SPT handles public transport in the Glasgow region, here is a quick summary on their travel services and deals. The Zone Card - You can get up to 50% off unlimited travel around the Strathclyde area on rail, subway, most buses and some ferries. The Glasgow Subway is the quickest and most effective way of getting around the centre of the city and SPT offers a range of tickets to suit varying needs. Subway booking offices are manned at all times and all tickets are available at any Subway station. You can also purchase a single or return ticket from one of the automatic ticket machines at most stations. Multi-journey Subway tickets can also be purchased online and from Hillhead ticket office and St Enoch Travel Centre. The Discovery ticket, offers a day's unlimited travel on the Subway for just £3.50. When you purchase a Discovery ticket, you will be given a leaflet containing a full colour map of the Subway route, including street names and the locations of rail and bus stations, SPT travel centres and tourist information centres. The map also shows the locations of over 70 visitor attractions, to help you plan your day of Discovery. The Daytripper ticket- offers unlimited travel for one day by rail, subway, most buses throughout Strathclyde, and some ferries. The Mackintosh Trail Ticket (£16), gives you unlimited travel on the SPT Subway and First's bus services in Glasgow after 09:30am. It also includes entry to all participating Mackintosh attractions in and around Glasgow.
