HMV UK is based on Argyle Street in Glasgow. This one is the largest HMV store in Glasgow and offers aisles of DVDs, CD', games and a vinyl section at the back of the shop. They stock computer games for wii, nintendo ds, and xbox.

HMV was founded in July 1921 in its ground-breaking record store in London's Oxford Street. It is famous worldwide for its iconic dog-and-gramophone trademark, called 'Nipper'.
