City Centre
Glasgow city centre is bordered by the River Clyde to the south, the motorway to the north and west and the trendy merchant city to the east. The city centre main shopping areas have been dubbed, the "Style Mile", a mile that has a concentration of exhilarating high-street and designer shopping, cafe's restaurants, bars and salons.
The streets you need to be in the know about in the style mile are, Sauchiehall Street, Buchanan Street and Argyle Street, including Buchanan Galleries, St. Enoch Centre and Princes Square. Glasgow city centre also oozes cultural venues for when you have had enough of the architecture that houses many of the designer and high street labels, or the statues and detailed Victorian Glasgow City Chambers in George Square... the heart of the city centre!
