The three-masted sailing ship Leeuwin II is not only a historic replica of a ship important to Western Australia, but it is also the key component of the Leeuwin Ocean Adventure Foundation which offers all kinds of sailing experiences. In summer, join the Leeuwin for a morning, afternoon or twilight sail out of Fremantle, and over the rest of the year there are longer trips along the Western Australian coast where those who join are taught all the old-style sailing skills - and usually a lot more about themselves, too.
