Day 1 - Florida Keys
Holiday Isle is the heartbeat of Islamorada, and fast-paced fun. Down the road find Whale Harbor Marina, where Seven Sports has their course set up to tackle the winds. Take lessons, or flaunt your stuff, but a day out on the sandbar kiting cannot be beat. Whale Harbor is the site of the annual Kiteboarding Invitational held in March, around spring break. Tonight, grab a down-under steak and enjoy a few drinks out back of the Outback under the tiki.

When the winds are too much (or simply nonexistent) for kiteboarding, standup paddling is a perfect stand-in sport for fun and a core physical workout. It's possible to use the board for surfing, traversing on a "downwinder" (riding the board backed by tradewinds to cover long distances), as a fishing or diving platform, or just quietly enjoying secluded eco-tours through the backcountry flats in an environmentally friendly way. Seven Sports or Otherside Boardsports in Islamorada can each hook you up.
