Museums in Florence

Florence is full of art museums that many come from miles to visit. From art to science to sculptures, Florence has much to offer. The Uffizi Gallery is the most famous in the city. The thing to do nowadays is to reserve a ticket online in which you won't have to wait for hours to enter. Botticelli, Lippi, Da Vinci roam the halls of the old offices of the Medici dynasty. A classic trip back to the Renassiance, not to be missed.

Another museum that holds all the treasures of the Duomo is the Museo dell'Opera del Duomo. This museum is located right behind the Duomo where you can see the original pieces that once lived in the Duomo. For more delicacies of Medici era, Museo degli Argenti offers many interesting exhibits that change periodically throughout the year. It is inside Palazzo Pitti.

The Museo Nazionale Alinari della Fotografia is the photography museum that is located in Piazza Santa Novella near to the station. Many exhibits take place during the year. Inside you can see the evolution of the camera. There are the old school models of film as well. A museum that celebrates the art of photography.
