Hip Dublin bars full of shabby chic, urban cool vibes and trendy types are spreading like wildfire around the city. Mismatched furniture, random bric a brac, upbeat tunes and a good food and drinks menu seem to pull the crowds in.
The top of the list at the moment is the No Name Bar otherwise known as 'that bar with no name'. It is simply too cool to have one. But with all hip venues there are new contenders constantly nipping at the heels. It's that vicious circle, the bar becomes too well known and it loses it's edge and drops down the ranks of coolness.
On the outskirts of the centre is Bernard Shaw the reason it probably because of this not quite central location it perennially continues to keep its cool. They have wall murals from top street artists, the Toejam Carboot sale which is like a magnet for hipsters, a gallery space with rotating exhibitions and a pool table.
