As it is the home of Motown, Detroit's night life is all about music. From an evening spent enjoying an opera performance, to a night listening to jazz, there are many genres and venues to choose from. The Detroit Symphony Orchestra performs at M. Fisher Hall, the Michigan Opera Theatre performs at the Detroit Opera House, and there are Broadway shows at the Fox Theatre. Check out concert and performance schedules online. For live jazz and drinks, head downtown to the Baker's Keyboard Lounge. Also downtown at The Garden Bowl, America's oldest active bowling center built in 1913, you can bowl while listening to DJs spinning rock to punk to funk. In the second floor of the Garden Bowl, the Magic Stick has ten billiard tables and a dance floor and is one of Detroit's top live music venues. If you want a place to watch sports, head to Nemo's or Hockeytown Café.
Detroit is also home to several casinos. Should you decide to gamble, head to either the MGM Grand Detroit, MotorCity Casino, or the Greektown Casino.
