The nightlife scene in Dallas is as varied as the types of barbecue you'll find in Texas. Dallas has a number of unique areas to enjoy entertainment that range from the many piano bars found in the city's top hotels to music venues dating back to the 1920s.
Visitors can enjoy the history tied to the Deep Ellum district where you'll find many of Dallas' jazz and blues clubs. The West End is another historic district with a wealth of restaurants, bars, and clubs, plus it's also home to the Sixth Floor Museum and Dealey Plaza where President John F. Kennedy was assassinated. Check out the Starck Club if you happen to be in the area.
Greenville Avenue is well-known for its extravagant St. Patrick's Day celebrations but it's also home to some of the hippest and hottest nightclubs in all of Dallas. The Knox-Henderson district offers up a selection of bars and nightclubs as well, with the addition of outdoor patios and bistros set in quaint historical buildings. The Old Monk, which bagged the "Best of Dallas" title, by the Dallas Observer, for three consecutive years, reigns supreme here.
The West Village is an upscale trendy neighborhood complete with residences, coffee shops, bars and restaurants, which are perfect for people-watching and enjoying a night on the town. For a true Texas experience, consider an excursion to Billy Bob's Texas Honky Tonk located in the historical Fort Worth Stockyards.
