It has to be said that the city of Cordoba falls a bit short when it comes to hotels. There are plenty of them but many are more targeted at the business market than the visitor or tourist and some are quite tired round the edges. Our top pick hotel is a relative newcomer, a design conscious boutique hotel that goes by the name of Azur Real. It ticks all the boxes when it comes to location, appointment and decor - the public areas double up as an art gallery. This great little hotel is ultra-comfortable and is extremely quite, when you consider it is only a short stroll from the city's central plaza. Number two in our list is another fresher - Zoom is one of those things Argentines love, an aparthotel, where you room comes with a kitchenette enabling you to self-cater if you should so please. The hotel comes with all mod cons - so even if you don't do any cooking it is a great place to stay. Of the more business-like hotels, the two best are the NH Panorama, which at least lives up to its name, and the Windsor, which likes to think it is English in style (down to the beefeater uniforms).
