It's easy to miss this deluxe bakery owned by the former head chef of Restaurant Paustian, Bo Bech, hidden in unassuming premises on central Store Kongensgade. There's no window display out front, for a start, and, compared to the vast range of breads, rolls and pastries offered at the city's other bakeries, very little to choose from. Still, it isn't every day you get to eat a sourdough loaf made with wholegrain flour baked at the city's hippest gourmet bakery; it costs DKK 35, which is just slightly higher than the average for this part of the city. Open until 6pm weekdays, or 1pm at weekends; closes earlier if all the bread has been sold. Cash only.
