Taking off where the now-closed Flow restaurant left off, new age Ambrosias Have – Ambrosia's Garden – is one of Copenhagen's few solely vegetarian restaurants, though its out-of-town location in outer Nørrebro close to the northern edge of Frederiksberg combined with its rather zealous focus on health and spirituality make it one for ardent vegetarians only. The restaurant of yoga center Natha (you can take classes in the same building), Ambrosias Have is inspired by North Indian health foods. All the cooks here are volunteers inspired by the vegetarian mission, who produce a changing daily menu of vegetarian soups, salads and warm buffets, as well as homemade cakes for dessert, at cheap prices. As you might expect, the atmosphere is very new age, with whale songs in the background and fresh-pressed fruit juices and Indian lassi yoghurt drink on offer to go with the food: No alcohol is served here.
