This small, cheapo hotel is located in the heart of the quiet and leafy suburb of Østerbro, and has a total of 16 double and single rooms as well as one large family room, located over the first and second floors of a residential terrace building. As well as cable TV and free wireless internet access in all rooms (bring your own laptop), the hotel has also added its own little personal touches, like the addition of kimonos and house-slippers in all the rooms, and amusing 'trompe l'oeil' friezes on the bedroom walls. There are no ensuite rooms, however: All bathrooms and toilets are found outside in the hallway. A varied breakfast buffet including homemade bread is included in the price – DKK 800 for a double room. There is also a TV lounge with the daily newspapers, a terrace and a set of swings in the garden at guests' disposal. British Sunday Times magazine chose Hotel Rye as one 'Europe's best hotels for under £100 a night'.
