Description:
Literaturhaus is a cultural center specializing in spoken word events in the atmospheric setting of an old abandoned church. While the bulk of events are prose and poetry readings in Danish, the house has a strong tendency for inviting international artists, including many from the Middle East and Africa, so you may just get lucky. There are also plenty of crossover events where music, film and other art forms fuse with the literature medium. Along with the high-ceilinged interior—still retaining its origins as a church—there is a small, pleasant cafe in the center's basement.
