Description:
After more than three decades with closed doors, this legendary club reopened in May 2010 amid much hype and great expectations: Montmartre is a place with history. From 1959 until 1976, this jazz club was responsible for attracting world-class jazz names like Ben Webster and Dexter Gordon to Copenhagen, where they stayed, transforming the city into an international hotspot for jazz and lending the venue an almost mythical status that remained long after it had closed. Reopened with a smart gourmet restaurant and a long list of international names booked to perform in this intimate setting, it may not have the underground atmosphere of its heyday, but promises some great music. With very limited space, booking ahead is strongly advised.
