Chaplon Tea Pavilion
Address:
Vesterbrogade 3
Copenhagen, DK
Description:
The pretty art deco-style tea pavilion of Chaplon Tea is the sole tea house in
Tivoli Gardens and just the spot to enjoy a warm and invigorating cuppa should the rides and fun of the pleasure garden be taking it out of you. Found at the corner of the grass plain overlooking the fountain, this small stand offers a wide range of quality teas, from Darjeeling and Ceylon to green tea, earl grey and fruit flavors. The tea here comes from specialist importer Chaplon, a small yet particular local firm that imports fresh-plucked tea from small gardens in Asia a mere few days after harvesting. Chaplon has also managed to grow its own tea plants from China, India and Kenya: During July and August, if it is warm enough, some of these are displayed inside the pavilion. Chaplon Tea is open during Tivoli season only.
