This house gets its name (House of the Eagle Knight - a title of honor in the pre-Hispanic culture) from the two figures on each side of the main entrance.
This is one of the oldest houses in Cholula, the ground floor dates back to the XVI century, while the upper floor was built in the XVII century.
In 1997, with the desire of saving this construction from the abandon, the City Council decided to lend it to the Universidad de las Americas (UDLA) to create de Museum of the City of Cholula. In it you´ll find more than 2300 archeological, Colonial and historic pieces. There's also a restoration area the public can visit and learn more about the efforts of maintaining the pre-Hispanic culture. There´s also a temporary exhibit room where they always have excited and modern expositions.
